What It's Like to Work at INNOTICA

13 September 2016 by Adriana Endzeliz

INNOTICA is one of the few companies that genuinely pushes every team member to improve — day in, day out — with a real commitment to each person's professional and personal development.

Working here gave me my first real foothold in a professional career. It opened the door to the world of entrepreneurship and introduced me to a remarkable group of people. INNOTICA is built around a multidisciplinary team with a shared drive to move this country forward.

My work sits in the project design area, and there's a lot that goes into it beyond the deliverables: great lunches, easy conversations, experiences packed with learning, honest self-reflection, and no shortage of good humor.

"When the people around you — colleagues and leadership alike — are genuinely committed to integration and innovation, interesting challenges follow. INNOTICA constantly pushes boundaries to make a real difference, guiding its team toward what's current: energy-efficient building design and the technological advances emerging every day across the industry.

The persistent drive for everyone's professional growth is what fuels success here. It isn't just about working with a strong team — it's about working alongside multifunctional people whose ideas and opinions are actually heard. I believe in what INNOTICA is doing for this country and its professionals."

Limited experience is one of the biggest barriers young professionals face. INNOTICA gave me the chance to grow alongside the company even as a newly graduated project engineer — and it has been an education in itself, guided by highly qualified colleagues. This is a company that genuinely motivates and supports both professional and personal growth.

We're a close-knit, collaborative team. Lunch is practically a gathering in itself — full of stories, laughter, and the kind of easy support that flows naturally between departments. No matter how heavy the workload gets, good humor is always part of the equation.

I'll sign off by saying how proud I am to be part of this team. Thank you for the opportunity.

INNOTICA is a particular kind of company — one that lets you develop professionally and creatively within an environment that feels almost like family, while still respecting deadlines, hitting targets, and delivering the quality the company is known for.

They gave me the chance to learn on the job because they trusted me, and that trust pushed me to grow. At the same time, I like to think I contributed something back — along with the talent everyone else brings to this remarkable place. Without question, this is a company that creates opportunities and delivers internationally competitive work, built entirely in-house: 100% Venezuelan.

INNOTICA design work

Industrial Designer — Daniel Aguilar

At Innotica Sistemas I've had the chance to work on genuinely interesting problems. One of the most memorable was co-designing the Ritmio board — and then hand-soldering it myself at the soldering station. It was a real challenge: I had never hand-soldered surface-mount components that small before, and I had to use our digital microscope to pull it off.

I've also learned to design communication networks for smart buildings using open technologies. Right now we're working with LonWorks, though we're keeping an eye on other protocols — Modbus, BACnet, KNX, among others. That work involves making the physical connections, flashing firmware onto the smart devices, and managing the communication between them.

Looking ahead, we're planning to develop our own smart devices, and the prospect of contributing to technology built right here in Venezuela is genuinely exciting.

The work environment is easy and welcoming. We get along well, the lunches are great, and over time we've built a team that's more than the sum of its parts.

My time at INNOTICA has been deeply rewarding. I've gained a wide range of new skills, I have strong mentors and colleagues, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

The most important thing I've taken away, though, is a real understanding of entrepreneurship — this distinct and special world that keeps you dreaming, even in a country where opportunities can feel scarce, or sometimes surprisingly abundant.

I hope to keep giving everything I have to watch this company grow and become a benchmark for successful entrepreneurship in Venezuela. Thank you for this opportunity.
